Team Bohol Wins Men’s Relay at Sun Life 5150 Triathlon

Team Bohol captured the Men’s Relay championship at the Sun Life 5150 Triathlon Bohol. The race took place at The Bellevue Resort in Panglao.

The team delivered a strong performance across all three stages. Moreover, each athlete played a vital role in securing the championship.

Their teamwork, endurance, and determination brought another proud sporting achievement to Bohol.

Team Bohol Conquers the Men’s Relay

John Sylvester Dequiña opened the race with the 1.5-kilometer swimming stage.

Afterward, Nicho Lumay took over for the 40-kilometer cycling course. He maintained the team’s momentum throughout the demanding bike segment.

Finally, Jhul Ian Cañalita completed the 10-kilometer run. His strong finish helped Team Bohol claim the Men’s Relay title.

Together, the three athletes showed excellent coordination from the starting line to the finish.

Strong Performances Across Three Disciplines

Relay triathlons require athletes to work as one unit. Each member must complete a different discipline before passing the race to the next teammate.

Therefore, success depends on more than individual strength. Teams also need preparation, communication, and trust.

Dequiña, Lumay, and Cañalita delivered strong performances in swimming, cycling, and running. As a result, they overcame the competition and secured the championship.
