Team Bohol won the Men’s Relay championship at the Sun Life 5150 Triathlon Bohol. The event took place at The Bellevue Resort in Panglao.
John Sylvester Dequiña, Nicho Lumay, and Jhul Ian Cañalita delivered strong performances across three demanding disciplines. Together, they brought another proud victory to Bohol.
Team Bohol Conquers the Men’s Relay
John Sylvester Dequiña started the race with the 1.5-kilometer swim. His performance gave the team a strong opening.
Next, Nicho Lumay completed the 40-kilometer cycling stage. He maintained the team’s momentum throughout the course.
Finally, Jhul Ian Cañalita finished the 10-kilometer run. His strong performance helped Team Bohol secure the championship.
Teamwork Leads to Victory
Relay triathlons require strength, discipline, and coordination. Each athlete must complete his stage before passing the race to the next teammate.
Therefore, the team’s success reflected both individual skill and excellent teamwork.
Dequiña, Lumay, and Cañalita combined their abilities from the opening swim to the final run. As a result, they claimed the Men’s Relay title.
