Bohol Island Geopark has once again brought pride to the province after being recognized as Best Tourism Destination Province for 2025–2027 at the 1st Philippine Tourism Awards.
This recognition highlights Bohol’s continued strength in sustainable tourism and community-driven development. More importantly, it affirms the province’s growing reputation as a leading destination that values both natural heritage and responsible tourism.
Bohol Earns More Recognition in Tourism
Aside from the top provincial honor, Bohol was also named a finalist for Eco-Tourism Destination. In addition, Loboc and Panglao received recognition in their respective categories, further showing the province’s strong presence in Philippine tourism.
These achievements reflect the diverse attractions and experiences that Bohol continues to offer. From nature and culture to community-based tourism, the province remains one of the country’s most admired destinations.

The award is another proud milestone for Bohol Island Geopark, which continues to shine as the country’s first and only UNESCO Global Geopark. At the same time, it highlights Bohol’s commitment to preserving its natural treasures while creating meaningful opportunities for local communities.
